I watched the ep with friends and when Kavanagh gets up and McKay's talking about how he's trying to find a way to shut down the gate I immediately said "DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING, KAVANAGH!" And he did - such a predictable character . Loved him in this, I missed the idiot scientist.

i personally didn't know why he wanted to get on the PJ so badly they did say they will be floating in space for a week or so, maybe it was the self destruct that made him go!

Thanks for reminding me of *who* that was. I knew he "looked" familiar, but I just couldn't place him, and didn't hear his name clear enough for some reason (house distractions)... I just knew he had to be someone who must have grated on my nerves at one point ... yup!

Kavanaugh is starting to remind me of one of those fainting goats (ever seen them?), any time he's startled he just keels over. But he's a great character, I hope he comes back again sometime.
