    <><><><><>

This is a month earlier than last year, and approximately the same
time that season 3 began production (Feb. 20 '06).

Ish Kabibble is the name of a deceased American actor, and the name
was taken from one his songs.

As the SciFi Channel has NOT announced the returning cast for season
five as yet, I'm presuming that the BC Film list is waiting for that
    announcement to complete their listing.

BC Film, which must have loaded this today as it wasn't there the other day, doesn't always include everybody on their lists.

Interesting that Ish Kabibble is in the credits; he's been dead since '94.... ahem... and that they slid SGA under pilots...

To begin airing in the autumn, like last year?

Hard to tell. First, if the writers strike persists, and then the actors join, well, that will mess things up. I'm hoping we'll get season 5 in September but we'll have to see how the strike affects the fall season overall. Although, hmm, if the networks are still struggling to fill air time at that point, SGA could go on as one of the few shows with NEW episodes (besides the "Celebrity Oil & Lube Change Challenge," which I'm sure will become a reality show when they start scraping the bottom of the barrel).

A nice fan over at SG1_Spoilme has solved the "Ish Kabibble" query...

It's a Yiddish expression for "I should worry?" which probably means, don't worry

To quote Jack from Season 3's "Fair Game"
"Boy did this get out of hand." So far it seems it is getting out of hand. The unions have already reached a deal with the DGA(Directors Guild of America) and the writers are still holding out. If SAG strikes we could be in for a long wait.

My fingers have been crossed for quite some time already. And they will remain crossed until this is resolved. I really hope next season doesn't get delayed because of this strike dragging on.

Actually, because shows like Eureka and that new "Warehouse 13" being on hold due to the strike , SGA might be pushed ahead to the summer, while Eureka has a Fall airing.

we may/may not have a problem.

if SAG strikes, then only the stargate/atlantis actors that are SAG members are on strike. And i don't think it's that many of them. now if the canadian unions go on a sympathetic strike, then yeah, things could stop
Where in the World is George Hammond?

That would be Joe and Jason. JM has already said that could happen, and that they'd continue shooting anyway if they were forced out by strike action.

Mitch Pileggi, should he be part of S5, would probably also be affected, being another American.
