    Wouldn't it be cool if...

I was just thinking, what if the writers of SGA put the metal Orichalcum somewhere in the plot? That would be so cool! It could run machinery, just like in the myths.
(For those who don't know, Oricalcum was a metal noted in Plato's dialogue accounting his trip to Atlantis. Some believe it was an alloy of gold, copper, and silver, others believe it was it's own metal. Plato depicted the Atlantians casting the Orichalcum into beads and putting it into their machinery, i.e. putting a bead in like a quarter in a mechanical horse. The machines then did what they were designed for, may it have been digging, preparing food, or as entertainment.)

You know, that would be great. Maybe Ancient for 'naquada' was Orichalcum?

I learned the word from Age of Mythology <whistle>

      It would certainly be interesting...

... but would it be possible to get a more specific thread title? This is kinda... vague, and not particularly helpful for those people who might be interested in this discussion and don't know it's here.

I learned it from Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. Now that was a great game...

Yeah and it might just possibly become full of spoilers for some people.

I could stick anything in after Wouldn't it be cool if...

... McKay did something heroicly stupid to save the day in The Eye.

... If the water was green (naturally).

... If donuts were square shaped.

... If Xerox machines were actually aliens plotting to take over the world...

But we are, why do you think E-mail was invented.
So you could send a copy of a file to everyone, and NOT USE THE XEROX MACHINE !!!!!
You see, the war has already begun !

                        It's all a step up! A conspiracy!

A war between people and Xerox. A wedge put between them by e-mail.

                        ... So it begins...

Is that why my office copier has a combination code? Even though EVERYONE in the building knows it?

But it gets worse, whom do you think is responsible for all this ?
                            Bill Gates, of course.
He started the war so he can sell more E-mail programs
So there's a conspirancy behind the conspirancy !

                            The plot thickens !

That's so corny ! Did I write that down ?
