... the Project Mogol balloons carried large radar targets using foil coverings. Foil was also used in strips dropped out of airplanes during World War II in order to confuse radar signals. Commonly known as chaff, but also known during the war as 'Window.'

It's kind of like in Atlantis. That little map thing that Sheppard got there looked like a PDA with fancy plastic over it. Or that chair in Antarctica looked like a normal chair with some goop just plastered on.
And some of the costumes for thos people from Teyla's planet... One of them was wearing a pair of jeans that were blotched with bleach.
And we're not supposed to notice

My basic rule of thought for special effects/set design is this...
Think about Star Wars; Episode 1 and 2, while yes they both looked great, had wonderful special effects and sets, the storylines were both lacking (IMO anyway).
Look at Stargate, low-budget, but still manages to have an awesome story.Vae Victus - Livy

Might have something to do with the fact that it's a weather ballon.....It’s the show that doesn’t end, it goes on and on my friends, some people started watching not knowing what it was, but they will be watching forever just because it’s the show that doesn’t end…..
