    MacKay's Dream

Was MacKay's dream more rational than you expected? And did the whale attack remind you guys of the show Surface?

Alos the whole dream thing (especally the Dr dying) was very Matrix.

    Overall a good ep!

I think it was more rational because he knew what was going on.

It seemed very linear - also I loved what I saw as a callback to The Storm/The Eye episodes (the torrential rain), in which Rodney not only nearly died several times, but was also tortured, and saved, ultimately by Sheppard, and his own brain (which is what happens in this ep, too).

I did not pay attention at first to the first clue that the entity had switched over to Sheppard. The clown was not a product of Mckay's fear. It was Shep's. The only reason Mckay saw it was because they were still connected. I guess the entity was a a sort of middle ground between the two. It was rather interesting though. the clown was amazing. reminds me of Stephen King's It. Creepy movie.

                Spoiler:

                2 Cor. 10:3-5
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; )
                5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

The clown thing was definitely pretty funny.

As for McKay's "whale", even I would be afraid of that thing.

yeah...I must agree that since he knew what was going on....his dream was a little "altered"...but the clown was priceless! Great scene!

Probably the funniest moment in the show since Rodney got shot by an arrow in Setida (sp?)

Rodney has had the same dream for years so it wouldn't be as freakish to him.
I'm not an actor. I just play one on TV.

When the whale swallowed the boat.....probably one of my single favourite moments on the show. Every show needs whales. Even scary people-eating ones.

It was pretty rational, but then, I never really think Rodney is THAT warped.

                              Now, MY mind, THAT'S warped.
