Symbiont poison. SPOILERS for ENDGAME

As it was explained on "5x15 Summit", the symbiont poison doesn't affect humans, but the fact that they release a toxin kills the host. But we also know that they can choose not to kill it to, as happened with Jolinar and that girl from Kelowna.

So, why when Teal'c and the other rebel jaffa were captured and the rocket was launched from the ship's gate did Zaren's host die too? Or maybe she didn't die and was just unconcius?

Am I the only one who was confused about this?

1)Maybe the symbiote is killed so suddenly that it doesn't have the choice.

2)Maybe it causes some sort of breakdown in the symbiote that poisons the host.
