    Enterprise / Romulan War

It is a given fact in the Star Trek Universe that between 2156 and 2160 Earth and the Romulans were at war.
And the Federation was founded in 2161.
The problem is that Enterprise's fourth season takes places in 2154-2155, so before the end of the series the Romulan war has to begin.
But that isn't the only problem, the average Trek series end after seven years.
    2151+7 = 2158.
    So:

1 Do you think the three year gap to the founding of the Federation will be filled ?
    2 If yes, how ?
3 Will we get a multpile episode arc covering the Romulan war ? (Like the Dominion war in DS-9)
4 How will we keep the storyline from becoming to much like DS-9's later seasons ?

ENT, Romulan War, & UFP timeline:

    2151 - Season 1
    2152 - Season 1/2
    2153 - Season 2/3
    2154 - Season 3/4
    2155
2156 - Romulan War begins (later half of Season 5)
    2157
    2158
    2159
    2160 - Romulan War ends
    2161 - UFP is founded.

Most likely, we'll see the beginning of the Romulan war on ENT, with the end and the UFP delt with movies.

The show will probably be canned before it has a chance to show the war. Thank god, we don't need B+B screwing that up too.
It’s the show that doesn’t end, it goes on and on my friends, some people started watching not knowing what it was, but they will be watching forever just because it’s the show that doesn’t end…..

If the war was done, it would be under the direction of enterprises new head writer, manny coto.

Anyway, I think it was mentioned that enterprise will not do the E-R war and it will be reserved for a movie.

There's no real reason that each series of Enterprise can't cover more than a year, even though they're shown a year apart. It would only take a line of dialogue to start "In the past year since we met [species met four episodes ago]..." and you can have the show covering as long as it wants to in however many series it has left.

Or they could do something a little simpler and have the ship sucked into a wormhole, tossed 3 or 4 years into the future.
