    It's not every day a legendary superhero / time and space traveller calls into Today FM, so when Richard Dean Anderson aka Mac Gyver, aka Jack O Neill from Stargate SG1, called in to visit Ray this morning the studio was buzzing with excitement!

      While RDA was in Ireland promoting Microsoft's new video game release, "Halo 3," several local radio stations interviewed RDA.

            Hmm...a couple of thoughts on the Rick O' Shea interview:

            When RDA was talking about Brad asking him to do another movie, was he talking about Continuum or another movie?? Have I been so out of the loop that I've missed that?!?!? (I hope so! )

            He sounded so excited when Rick said he was a Minnesota Vikings fan! lol!

            Heehee, good clip to end on...it's odd to hear SG on something that's so 'Real Life' lol! I forget how weird sci fi is sometimes!!

              its very cool considering that it doesn't usually get promoted so much in ireland though. rte 2 show it at about 3am or something. and its not advertised or promoted at all.

              i have a feeling he was talking about another movie. he said he was in the second one only, then mentioned almost hesitantly, as though he realised he was about to say something he shouldn't and couldn't back out, that BW asked him to do another one where he was even more involved.

              i could be wrong there though. maybe he did mean continuum.

              and yeah he got really excited about the vikings fan bit. aaww bless.

                the week that was...

                So, how about an actual typed-in-longhand, written update? Yeah, instead of one of those "look at what I saw on YouTube" updates or "here's another picture of my dog" updates.

                This was a pretty cool week actually.

                We got an interview with Richard Dean Anderson! Yeah, McGuyver! Well, not quite so much an interview as a rugby tackle in the hallway after he was in with D'arcy, but we'll take what we can get. He was in town to talk about Halo 3, the console and game giveaway we're doing this week. Sorry, no pics. The battery in the camera was dead and I forgot about the phone.
