Martin Wood

Talented producer-director who is well known for his work on Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. He now brings those talents to work on Sanctuary, the first supernatural web series. We chat about the show's concept what's been seen so far, and what's coming up too. Some spoilers if you have never seen the series before. Thanks, morjana, for posting this wonderful audio interview of Martin Wood. Sounds like this is a very recent interview after Comic Con.

It sounds like Sanctuary is doing very very well, and I'm glad to hear that they are preparing for 10 more hours of the show. Also, I'm glad to hear that there was a huge number of fans that visited them for Sanctuary at Comic Con. And that TV networks are very interested in their show.

I love to listen to Martin Wood talk about his work as a director. He is so enthusiastic! And he seems particularly enthusiastic in his producer role, as well as director role, for Sanctuary. He is my favorite director on Stargate, without a doubt.

He also mentions that Continuum is the best yet for SG-1 -- he said that after he read the Brad Wright script, he went up to his office and gave Brad a hug. It must have been a real treat (and lots of work) to direct this movie!

Sweet. Is that the only part where he mentions Stargate?

Mainly, yes. He does talk about Ivon Bartok doing a special for the Continuum DVD when they filmed in the Arctic, but he doesn't say anything of substance -- just thinks it is a great feature and he did a great job.

He talks about some Stargate actors (like CJ) and then some other actors in scifi in general that are interested in appearing in Sanctuary, but nothing more directly about Continuum and really nothing that I can remember about SGA, season 4.

It is, indeed, mainly about Sanctuary, I believe.
