Unfortunately, you can't get hold of them anymore... but Motion do have an "LE" series out now which is quite similar, and more up-to-date, performance wise.

Well originally the "Tablet PC" concept was just to have thin-client wireless displays which connected using remote desktop to a server/desktop system; it was called "Mira" or "Microsoft Smart Displays", but they went out of fashion when companies started offering full-featured Tablet PCs...
The "slate" style never really caught on though, the majority of Tablet PCs you see out there today are the "convertible" types, which have a swivel-screen which folds down on top of the keyboard.
I'd much rather have one of the original Mira displays myself though :-P

Apparently the M1400 (rather than the MC1400) series is a Pentium M rather than a Celeron, which == much higher performance.
You can pick them up for around $700 Buy It Now, which isn't actually too bad
