The CW network have released the official episode description for "Prototype"

Lex has been secretly trying to turn Wes Keenan, a military man who supposedly died fighting in Afghanistan, into a “super soldier” by injecting him with DNA pulled from the various meteor freaks he has captured. After a crooked senator threatens to expose his secret labs, Lex dispatches Wes to kill the senator, but Lois witnesses the attack and inadvertently becomes the super soldier's next target. Meanwhile, Clark tries to convince Lana to leave Lex.

Well fortunately for you, this show is centered on DC characters. I think the bank accounts of the show's owners are enough reason for them to not try anything of the sort.

Well that's true, but saying super solider in a comic book environment always seems to mean Captain America, especially since he is dead now.
