we dont actually know what is the asgard core i think its some sort of neutronium and since the asgard planet went up with the biggest neutronuim they had it would be hard to find some since the replicators would of got most of them since the asgard war

They most likely left directions for making the power source they make.Either way if we cant get neutronium(spelling?) they probably have methods of creating other power sources just as good.Or improving our naquada generators.

You do realize that the core sends a signal, which the Ori can detect, the last thing we need is the Ori in the Pegasus galaxy, the wraith and Asurans are more then enough, the last thing we need is a powerful enemy especially one that is capable if mass destruction (altho it would be handy as they could eliminate the wraith or reduces its numbers, woah come to think about it, that will only cause the wraith to fight together to win this battle, lol especially at the fact that there goals are the opposite, ori, destroy/convert earth or wraith (wipe out an entire galaxy/planet (earth)) .

Thats true that the core does send out a signal but as far as we know the ori are the only ones who could detect it,now im sure that the Asurans may be able to detect it but i would'nt say the wraith.

It was a matter of adjusting the core they will not always detect it.After getting to Earth they will make it perfectly fine.How you think they will go to Ori galaxy in movie, using their old hyperdrive?No, they will use the latest Asgard hyperdrive they received in "Unending" and they will use it's power core.

Hmm the Asgard core, (because it gives an unnecessary signal which can be tracked by the Ori), to be honest that’s like using a power generator to power Atlantis systems. The core was specifically made to power the Asgards systems up (Just like a ZPM with Atlantis), and their power module is more efficient then our ones and for all we no the power generator could over load with the amount of systems contained in the Asgard systems.

How do we know that, Remember in “Unending” carter created a crystal to shut down the core so it may separate from the hyperdrive in matter of seconds, she didn’t create the means of getting rid of the cores signal as far we witnessed in that episode.

If the Ori were able to detect Asgard tech, how come they seemed so eager to give it to us at all? I know, legacy and all that, but if they knew it'd cause trouble then thats no good at all.

They *must* have known though, right? I mean, surely the Ori had run into the Asgard if they could detect the cores anyway.

The Ori don't know about Pegasus yet so even if they had Asgard cores in Atlantis - the Ori wouldn't really be looking there since, atm, they don't know about it
