You know that energy thing in Atlantis. Well could we have captured Anubis with that thing that the anciets made for that energy thing? I mean Anubis was energy so I think it would work to capture him in that field (speculate if you want)

You might be on to something here.
Although it depends on whether or not that energy creature occupied the same plane of existence as the ascended Ancients, since Daniel once theorized that there are multiple higher planes of existence, perhaps even an infinite or near-infinite number. It's possible that the creature in question resided in a 'lower' plane as compared to the Ancients, and as such the device wouldn't work on the latter, or at least not without some major adjustments.

Why don't we try this theory on the 'Crystal Skull Aliens’, they were made out of Energy Or even the Mist Aliens in SGA 'letters to Pegasus
For Wraith, hunger burns like a fire.
Tell me, Sheppard, if you found yourself burning alive, would you settle for just one drop of water ...
....... or would you take more?

The mist thingie on atlantis didnt seem that intelligent. All it really did was look for food, and realize going into the thing that trapped him for 10,000 yrs again was a bad idea. Im guessing lower ascended creature, maybe something that evolved in that realm. Or maybe an ancient ascended their pet cat fluffy.....
