Charting the Milky Way and Pegasus galaxies

A thing that's always been lacking is maps of the Pegasus and Milky Way galaxies.
Though a Pegasus map can be left aside for the moment, we're nearing the end of season 10 for SG-1 and yet, there's been no good attempt I know of at getting a decent chartmap of the Milky Way.

Have you never wondered what the borders of the Goa'uld domains were?
How far from Earth Abydos and Delmak are?

There has been so many worlds explored, and so many times we saw SG-1 look at this glassy dashboard at the SGC, with all those P3X enigmatic names pasted on it, and yet nothing resembling a galactic map ever popped around all that time!

There are many things to indicate on a map.

What can be displayed, for example, are Earth's allies, neutral worlds, or to which System Lord goa'uld controlled planets are tied to.

There are those planets which are used as Tok'ra bases, and those which are under protection from the Asgards, or the ones converted to Origin (if we ever manage to finish the map up to season 10).

The picture should be large and detailed enough to accept a sufficient level of information. A basis of a 1600 pixels width is a good start.

Each planet should get both the SGC designation and its local name if possible.
If we can cram the gate symbols as well, it would just be so sweet, but that's quite an extra.

Of course, considering the evolution of events during a single season, certain parts of a map are subject to modification, but we will deal with that in time.

The map could sport pin pointed battle locations, or the coordinates of certain stations.

First, we will have to start with a map of the first season, for Stargate SG-1.

    This requires a cooperative work.
You're welcome to post bits of dialogue and screencaps, debate the information and try to locate as many worlds as possible.

We can already use those sources of information to get proper names and gate symbols, but don't forget to eventually check out the validity of the data you borrow.

It will have to be 3D as well because some worlds will be higher/lower than others. Maybe this is why a map wasn't made before, Goa'uld domains could overlap where they are above or below each other, this would be difficult to represent clearly on a 2D picture.

It won't be a problem. I can handle the 3D if necessary, plus the traditionnal way to solve this is draw dots from the planet in question, going up or down until they touch the horizontal plane, so you see where the planet sits relative to the galactic core.

Besides, we may not need something as complex as a 3D map to begin, though it would surely be more accurate.
I say this because as far as I can see, there's very little info to know how far below or above the galactic plane a planet is.
