    Symbiotes

Can anyone give me a detailed scientific reason how the Goauld Symbiotes can increase the rate at which a person heals? Particularly physical injuries.
Please do me a huge favour and help me be with the love of my life.

Well, if they actively released the cytokines that control the response to physical injury in the area, they could easily use this to initiate/magnify the bodies own response.

Give me some time and I will look into it.

Maybe they secrete some chemical do-hicky that does that?

Sure; an enzyme, a hormone, an electric signal, whatever.

                  lol

The Symbiotes need to adapt to the host, what if they produce a secondry immune system, complete with immune cells covered in the hosts' cell surface receptors, whilst the symbiote itself may filter toxins out of the blood by using it's own version of a liver as an auxiliary one to the host, it probably also pumps the host full of steroids to increase strength.

Without becket of andromeda-dr lady (forgot the char name) telling us, we wont know for sure, but there're loads of posibilities.

                    No.

                    That's why it's called science-fiction.

                    Alchemist comes closest though.

Purple Yin did make a good point though, a secondary immune system within the lymphatic/circulatory systems of the host would definitely be a good option, because it would allow for the strengthening of other organisms than humans (with our complex immune systems).

It would account for the ability to combat cancer as well.
