    Stargate Faraway

    Preview
Merlin’s device was sent to the Ori galaxy in order to exterminate the ascended ones in it. There was no proof of the results of the explosion, so SGC prepared their new prototype cruiser, the 30X, for the exploration mission to the homeworld of Stargate’s most powerful villains. Equipped with all-new high-tech, including cloaking device and some tricks, the 30X was ready to be sent through the Supergate. But things went unplanned…

The all-new fan season of Stargate. New ideas. New characters. New adventures. Untouched StarGate spirit.

    Coming sooner than you’d expect.

(Though I've never finished any fic before... And I know that this intro is awful, XD. Still, I'm sorta writing it for fun. This is what I'd like to see as a side-series of SG. P.S. Sorry for my confusing style and bad english - I'm trying as hard as I can T_T)

(There's a little spoiler on one of the latest S.10 plot episodes)

    Episode 1.

    Cast Away.

    Part 1.

    - So you’re saying that our mission is really to invade the Ori galaxy, quickly get all possible intel and return as soon as possible…? – asked the tall blond man in his early twenties.
    - Yes, Kiro, that is our mission. – replied another man, about the same height, almost bald and with a uniform clearly stating that he’s some high military rank. Probably general, but Kiro as a civilian had no idea.
    - When I heard it for the first time I thought that’s some sort of joke…
    - You’re young and not yet used to receive impossible missions. Believe my experience, you’ll encounter even harder things to believe in. For someone out of Cheyenne Mountain project, the Stargate myth would seem more likely true. When I was just a little older than you, I’ve made a terrible mistake because I haven’t realized, that there isn’t anything what can’t be done. This is story for a later time, I can’t think of that case now… I just don’t want you or anyone else repeat my total screwing up.
    - I see… Oh, excuse me, I think it’s about time we depart…
    - Aha. Can you, please, announce that using the radio? I have to hurry to visit Landry, recheck a lot of things and all that stuff – Dualis haven’t ever behaved as a general while not on the mission. He hated the attitude of other high-ranked officers when it wasn’t necessary. That’s why those who served under him were trying to avoid any transfers. General was truly a great leader. And a specialist in scouting – that’s why he’s been chosen to command the 30X during the mission, codenamed “PingPong”.

Kiro, the computer maniac and part of the civilian staff of the “PingPong” operation, was walking through the corridors of the SGC, wondering how much did the American military invest in this huge underground base and complaining about the stupid, from his point of view, mission name. A young woman has walked past him, Kiro turned around and thought that it’s probably the scientist from Japan assigned to the 30X as well. She didn’t look that stereotypic, though. As she turned around the corner, Kiro lost her from sight. He leaned to the wall, crossing his legs. “This trip is probably the most interesting thing to happen to me past all these years, and I’m not even a bit nervous. Wonder why…”
    - Oh my, I forgot my pocket game device in my room… Have to get it quickly… - He remembered, saying that out loud.

Sakura, the twenty-two years old scientist girl, was thinking about the most optimal solution to dial the gate back home from the Ori galaxy. She didn’t like the plan to wait until it’s dialed again by the Ori, or, rather, Priors themselves. The side-plan appealed more to her which was to find the battlecruiser with the Sangraal, which could possibly be abandoned. But all these ways to get home didn’t have a 100% chance. The third opportunity was to dial the gate manually from the gate components. That should be possible, but the Ori tech wasn’t the exact copy of the Ancients tech – that could cause some major problems. Sakura stopped near her quarters. She went in and once again checked that nothing important was left there and that the room was in complete order. She was definitely the Ms. Tidy type of woman.

    - Alan, but we won’t even have a chance to kick some Ori butts…! It’s totally pointless… Just a waste of time… - a soldier said to his mate.
    - Matt, I know we won’t get this chance, but isn’t it exciting that we’re going to another galaxy! The first Earth battlecruiser to invade Ori homeworld! Man, I don’t understand you at all – replied Alan.
Meanwhile at the other end of the mess, or the dining room, the undividable pair’s commander was talking to another officer:
    - Sir, why are there only ten soldiers on-board? That’s far from enough in case of boarding…!
    - In case of boarding there’ll be no chance of surviving even if the 30X would be 100% packed with commandos. It’s THEIR homeworld, remember? So we’ve decided that’s the optimal quantity of armed men for the mission. It’s not a battle, it’s a scouting operation after all. Got that, Lieutenant?
    - Yes, Sir… Though I can’t agree… - Major Swanson mumbled the last words in his plate.

    16 hours later.

    - 1, 2, 3, the transmitters work fine. The engines are ready, cloaking device set to auto-engage, all systems are intact! – reported the captain’s assistant watching on the monitors and pressing some buttons. Chad didn’t like the touch-screens so he connected a mouse to the computer and was moving it like he was drawing a spinning Stargate. Click – Chevron locked. Spin again. Click. At least that was what Chad imagined.
The 30X and some other Daedalus class battleship were idling around the Supergate.
    - Jackson’s coordinates transmitted. ZPM and additional Naquadria generators connected. The wormhole will be open for half-a-minute.
    - Fine. Kiro, how’re the electronics? – asked Dualis, transformed into his mission form, more aggressive and targeted than his normal form. He was able to change his character in an instant.
    - Intact, Sir. Ready to do their work.
    - Good. Chad, send the green light to the activating team.
    - Roger. Received reply: we have 15 seconds until the activation.
    - Let’s move out. Activate engines.
    - Roger, we’re in position.
    - Good lord – mumbled Kiro.
“Here goes nothing” – thought Sakura.
“I can’t believe it’s really going to work” – zapped through Major Swanson’s mind.
Someone crossed their fingers, someone prayed someone was just excited – but everyone from the 75 crewmembers was ready to pass through the huge vortex, swooshing into the direction of the 30X. The supporting 304 backed away, someone turned on its lights, probably as a farewell to the X’s team. The engines of the newest earthen battlecruiser powered up and with a slight noise the ship was quickly approaching the Supergate.
    - 15 seconds left! We’re entering in 5… 4… 3… What the…? An Ori cruiser jumped from the hyperspace!
These words marked the disappearing of 30X as it passed through the event horizon. 304’s crew watched as the Ori battleship fired from its main cannon twice before the wormhole closed.
    - Now that’s no good – stated the 304’s captain.

(First advertisement break XD. Our TV features from two to three breaks in a single 40-min episode.
To tell the truth, I just wanna post something. Hope to post full episodes next time… XD)

Um... I don't think you grasp the meaning of 'script based.' Looks decent, though.

I'm very fine with movie spoilers =D

          Spoiler:
That's what I've already thought about. The SGC didn't want to send SG-1 first, as it was a really high risk to lose their top team, so they sent the 30X first. When the mission failed, they've decided to finally send SG-1. The 30X was kept secret for the Ori not to be aware of it's existence as it could be pretty much in their galaxy - nobody at the SGC knew what happened with the prototype cruiser, until the Ark of Truth at least. It's yet to be revealed when the team'll be able to contact the SGC.

Ah, yes, the 30X didn't reach the Ori galaxy in this leap, that's a little spoiler.

            Part 2.

The giant Supergate activated with a giant ka-whoosh. It’s elements seemed to be heavily damaged, possibly because of meteor storms, possibly just because of their age. The gate hardly kept the wormhole stable, it’s pieces were shattering and rumbling. The gate surely needed some technical support… An electrical surge ran between a few elements. Their chips and control crystals weren’t used at least for thousands of years and were frying immediately. The construction wasn’t going to be in one piece for more than a few seconds. All of a sudden, a metallic construction started to rematerialize in front of the event horizon. The wormhole grew more and more unstable, but the giant object succeeded in making it’s way without any visible damage. The only odd thing was that it obviously appeared rear first. Before it slowly faded into nothing, the sign flashed in the wormhole’s light: 30X.

            - This is really no good – confirmed the 304’s captain. - Contact the SGC at once…
            - Sir, the Stargate’s systems and transformer work like…
            - Cut to the point, Sergeant Lucy.
            - Sir, the Ori cruiser’s surges didn’t have to dematerialize into energy because they technically were energy. This means there’s a chance they’ve passed before the 30X! I only fear…
            - Do not fear, Sergeant, the military isn’t afraid of anything! It should be feared instead!
            - Sorry, Sir! What I wanted to tell is that such a powerful blast could possibly disrupt the wormhole…
            - Great. The first idea was better without the second, Sergeant. Though now we have at least a slight chance that that blasted cruiser is still intact… somewhere.

The blasted cruiser was definitely intact, floating cloaked in the space near the Supergate. But, something was wrong with the gate…
-Sir, the gate… The gate’s gonna explode!
            - That was just what I’ve dreamed of! – Dualis sent a few curses into the depths of space. – Get the ship into the hyperspace!
            - Roger! – said Chad and activated the switch. – We’re entering it in 3… 2… 1… Now!
The 30X was still floating around the gate. Cloaked and shielded, but obviously in range of the possible explosion. The silver gate with blue-ish elements unleashed a few power surges and the wormhole ceased to exist.
            - A nice beginning – sighed Kiro.
            - Sir, the engines are totally down! We’re sitting ducks! – Chad really started to panic this time. Kiro, who was on the bridge, sat, leaning to a wall, being afraid and trying to figure something out. But physics definitely wasn’t his trump card. It was Sakura’s. The Japanese scientist ran up the ladder leading to the bridge:
            - Captain, I have an idea, we can pull a 301!
            - 301? You mean the…
            - Yes, the rocket trick! – shouted Sakura, as adrenaline was rushing through her blood.
            - Sir, the ship’s too large, we won’t get a lot of acceleration from rockets! – turned his head from the monitor Chad.
            - This seems like an only option. Commence locked rocket fire!
Doug Swanson was also on the bridge. He asked a technician about this locked rocket fire, as he had no idea what it is.
            - The rockets are pushed out of the hatch, but locked with engines on, ready to be fired at any exact moment. Sometimes it can prove really useful. – Explained the technician.
            - I see… - Swanson scratched his forehead. – I guess I see… Thanks.
            - Rockets on! We’re moving, Sir! – declared Chad. – We’re… really moving!
            - Too slow. It’s too slow… - sighed Dualis. – Now I’m really not sure if we can make it.
            - Sir, remember what you’ve told me! There isn’t anything impossible! – Kiro was standing next to the captain. – Look, the ship’s got some lasers, yes? If we disconnect the bad blocks…
            - This has a high chance of worsening the situation! – exclamated Sakura, definitely being upset with the idea. Something this careless could accelerate the explosion. – Let’s rely on the…
            - No. We’ll try the lasers – stated the Captain. – Prepare a targeted attack on the gate’s elements connection parts.
            - Roger! – a technician pressed some buttons on the screen and on the keyboard. – Ready to fire, Sir!
            - Okay. Let’s…
Dualis’s phrase was interrupted by an explosion of one of the Supergate’s segments. The chain reaction didn’t make anyone wait for it. One after another, the naquadria-filled parts of over-advanced technology were blowing into little pieces. The last big explosion was like a starlight… The surrounding space was covered in a veil of greenish-white sphere of pure energy…

            - Understood, Trace – said General Landry. – From now on I classify the 30X project until it comes back, if it ever will. It’s too dangerous for this information to become known to the Ori. Landry out.
            The 304’s captain sighed.
            - This means we’ve lost the 30X. I know that there won’t be any attempt to rescue them as the 30X is classified now. But I owe everything including my life to Dualis… He saved me numerous times… We’ve got to do something. For now let’s head to Earth as planned. – Ordered captain Trace.
            - Roger that, Sir!

The odd-looking Stargate activated on an ice-covered planet. A really familiar war fighter resembling an arrow swooshed from the gate. “It should be somewhere here. It should be… We can’t afford to miss it this time…” thought the pilot of the odd half-organic fighter, more known by the name “Dart”.

Nice ship, streamlined ( I know spaceships don't need streamlining but it looks cooler imo.)

Too bad there's spoilers I'll have to wait with reading, but oh well shouldn't be that long wait time

Don't worry, I'll be editing the story so this'll take some time while you wait for the eps to be aired =). The beginning is quite lame actually.

The ship's from Star Trek... It's not 30X but will appear sooner or later whether it'll still be this ship like or something else... =D

I just liked it's outlook XD
