Seriously though, maybe it's just to intimidate their prey...There is only one thing we can ever truly control: whether we are good, or evil.

You're all alone on a wraith ship... It's so quiet you're afraid to move for fear that it would disturb whatever lurked in the dark shadows. Your heart is racing from your own imagination conjuring pictures of a long and torturous death. One that you're sure to face if a wraith finds you here. You'd run, but your feet won't more;their stuck- becoming more and more a part of the floor below you as your fear grows. Then suddenly from behind you one of the shadows moves. It's completely amorphic for a while, but slowly it starts to claim a shape... a tall slender humanoid with long hair gleaming in what little light there is... long fingers stretch towards you- summon you, and you obey despite your better judgement. Just a few steps, then no further. Its dark eyes keep you entranced as it begins to circle the room... closer and closer it comes, until it stands before your frozen corpse... mere inches from your face... It can smell your fear, and you know it. You hear it laugh, low and quiet...then speads its dark, wet lips to reveal its slimy gums.
