We don't know if they go through Atlantis shields. well from the inside.

In the episode where we used the Orion against the Wraith, we could of fired the drones through the shield but as we did not have full power, they had to divert all the power from the shields to the weapons, so technically we can fire through the shield, we do not have the power to do so.

even with 3 ZPM's in Atlantis and the shield at full Stregth will the drones by powerfull enough to go through shields. coz the last thing we wanna do is test that in Atlantis and blow up part of the city.

if so the drone got through the shield when beckett powered it up in the riseing!

The shield is to stop things going through from the outside, but stuff can come from inside the shield out.

yes most likely, as can transportation, otherwise how do the deady beam a nuke above the shields as the deady was in one of the piers. Shields are to stop things going into the shield but no the otherway around.

Ok this is what i think. i recon they can go out of their sheild but cant return. because of the speed they fire at. if you remember S2E1 the dart's was flying down to the city and they was flying very fast and rodney had to put sheild up fast! They all hitt he sheild but if you think about it. S1E1 at the begining a jumper passed through it without any trouble so maybe they made their tech pass through there sheilds what are unlikly toget captured IE Jumper's but Drones are just as fast as the DART's maybe faster at fullpower.

no offense or nothing but being stargate fans and that i would of thought u would know that shields protect things coming at you and which u can fire things when on the inside like the tokra force field

yeah and the computer sor it as a threat to the base and never allowed them to pass!

there have been many occasions that weve used one way shields. all the space battles with shields are one way, nothing comes in but weapons fire goes out. Aris Boch (sp?) had that type of tech. Some people speculate that gould tech is a rip off ancient, so im sure the ancients had a way around their tech.

having jumpers with the ability to go through atlantis's shields, is a great explanation why the asurans didnt raise the shield in the return pt 2, it wouldnt have done anything

yeah thats a good point. so maby the signal that the jumpers are giving out is friendly to Atlantis, and the shields let them pass thru. The same as Daedalus has the same tech put in when they buily her!
