Why dont Wraith have sheild?

The wraith have pules wepons and stun guns, and the abilty to inject you with that anzyme to make you stay alive longer while they feed.
Why dont they have sheilds for there ships?

Well they dont need them really, I mean the ships are extremely large (11KM long) and they are biological meaning they heal themselves. The only real threat to them is us and were the Ancients, which of course are now gone, but their weapons also help them out. As they say, offense is the best form of defense and their offense is incredibly powerful and overwhelming due to their numbers. The deadulus doesnt last very long against them cuz for one, we have crap weapons and for 2 our shields cant sustain their weapon fire for long.

So why do they need them?

Also they dont have shields personally because they can heal themselves when feeding and also their stun weapons arent suppose to effect them as much as they do us.

Because the ancients didn't shared it with them... if you look at the wraith ships they have nothing the ancient had, no drones, no shield and they are organic...

edit: Oh and they use the darts as a "shield" ...

Why would the Ancients share info on tech with them, wouldnt that kind of defeat the point of being at war with them. Plus the Wraith are very intelligent creatures and are very technologically advanced compared to the rest of the Pegasus galaxy.

As Ive explained though they dont really need shields now the ancients are gone

so say they sent one scout ship to Atlantis or somewere, and we rock up with Daedalus and the Apollo witch have good straingth sheilds, with out them relizing we can blow it up, befor they can relay a message back to the other cruzers!

Well yes we could but I doubt it would work as it doesnt take long for them to send a message to other Wraith, thats why we have a cloack and certain distraction techniques.

There are two reasons for the Wraith not using shields.

1: The Ancients primary weapons platform is a shield penetration weapon and the Wraith more then likely never found a way block it, so armor is the better choice there.
2: The Wraith ships have very different shipsdesigns and ways to do things, compared to the Ancients/Asgaard/Goa'uld/Tau'ri, the Wraith have organic ships which uses organics principles for power generation and surviability, so shields may not even be able to function with the Wraith designs. For example, it has been established that the Wraith vessels take damage from hyperspace radiation while traveling and therefore need to stop and regenerate before making another jump, no other vessels we have heard of in the Stargate universe has this problem, which is a clue that you should not compare regular ships with Wraith as it is two very different approaches to the same problems.

I read on a thread here that some people think that the Wraith do have shields but they have forgot how to use them. Since they were the dominant speicies in the PG why would they need them. there was no one to oppose them. Plus have ships that heal themselves, help significantly.

No the hive ships didnt have shields and they didnt forget how to use them. This has never been stated but how can all the Wraith, thousands upon thousands of them, most of them intelligent forget how to use a simple thing like shields. They also keep schematics of the hives, as seen in the end of S2 as well as all information regarding strategy, etc. so all they would have to do is to look at them.

Yes I know, I may have read that but its only what people think. Im just saying with a race as technologically advanced as the Wraith, who also store all scematics of their ships as well as other tech info, how can they forget it. There is also a Keeper assigned to each hive ship to watch over the ship when the others are sleeping.
