When to start reading Stargate: Horizon?

Hi I have browsed through the forum but havent found a place mentioning at what season (of SG. 1) to start reading horizon, not to get spoiled or out of chronology. Currently me and my wife is in the middle of season 5 (DVD):-)

We also plan to start on Atlantis, but have learned that watching that would be best when we get to season 8 (in a very very long time hopefully :-))

Knowing no season 11 will come we try to postphone watching SG-1 much, but when we do, we "fall in" and watch 2 or even 4 episodes at a time :-)

Horizon is set a little while in the future - the first episode is in 2013 (I think). So you shouldn't get too spoiled even if you start on it now.

Well in the first episode, Grant makes a log entry stating Monday July 11th 2011, which is about ten years in the future from the events of season five of SG-1. Not alot of spoilers, but enough so that you may not want to start reading unless you are current on SG-1.
