If Teyla/Ronon had be a baked potato would the team treat them any different?

Some people will say that a cooked vegetable can't be part of an SG team but I think that's just plain narrowminded and racist. If Ronon or Teyla had been a baked potato do you think Sheppard would of let them on his team?

Alot of people are saying they couldn't join because:
    1) Rodney would eat them
    2) Vegetables aren't allowed in the military
    3) The writers wouldn't dare go there

    What are your thoughts?*

Huh? The only vegetables I can think of are the writers. Martin, you've lost me friend.

I have my doubts about the validity of number 2) Vegetables aren't allowed in the military. I have seen some "corn"y people in uniform!

For their own safety, they would have to be sprinkled with lemon juice.

They'd be fine as baked potatoes; long as they weren't spinach or carrots and their are no Popeyes or Bugs Bunnys on Atlantis.

Don't think Rodney would find that amusing. I doubt he likes hives.....

Well, no, probably not...which leads back to the argument that a baked potato would not be a functional member of the team. Either Rodney would eat it or he would have to have an allergic reaction because they put lemon on the potato to protect it :-D

                      Gods, I love silly threads.

Me too, at least you get a smile or a laugh from them. Too many threads have become nothing more than fighting rings.

I know...my three little threads I follow in this particular folder are pretty nice and we all get along, but some of the ones I might get into otherwise are definitely, as you said, fighting rings, and I just don't have the time or energy to waste on it. But this...this is fun.

To get back on topic, do you think it would be different if they were not, say, a potato but instead squash?

*wonders if use of the word "squash" will bring the whumpers in droves*

Option 3. I don't believe the writers are openminded enough to be inclusive of potatoes on a SG team.
