:( Why the longer wait, and why the sci-fi channel, this show sounds amazing, why put it on a low rated channel?

It should at the very least be shown on Freeview, if not analogue for those who still have it asap i think. Shame us Brits always have to wait, kinda frustrating but there you go.

I live in the UK and do not have Sky but have already seen all the episodes of "Heroes" and trust me it is one of the best shows on TV.

Finally they have made something that is superhero fantasy genre and GOOD!

Not crappy like comic style Smallville. Heroes is intense and exciting a bit like every episode of Prison Break! (not season 2 though).

Trust me whenever it is on you have watch it. The veiwing figures in the US are very high for "Heroes".!!

While the NBC episode reviews don't work out of the US, you can get the season pass or individual eps on iTunes - they come out pretty quickly.

You can't download episodes from iTunes outside the US, it just doesn't let you, it doesn't work with SG either

you are more then welcomed to show me how to do it from here.... show me the way and i will (might) follow....
i find it interesting that 1$ = 1 Euro or even 1 UK pound.... specially considering how many post-communist countries have entered EU and how many are waiting.... do you really think that's fair price?

The Sci-fi Channel?

That's really bloody weird... I expected Sky One or Channel Four to pick it up, not our poxy little Sci-fi Channel.

Mediocre DVD releases and poor quality image here we come!

Well the good news if you can't get the Sci-fi channel is that BBC 2 has got the terrestrial rights to show heroes.

It is great and I have to say, for those who are waiting to see it, when you get the chance keep watching at least the first few episodes. I personally was not overly excited about the first episode, but loved the show by the time I finished the third one.

I thought the first was amazing myself. Without a doubt the greatest pilot I've ever seen. But different strokes I suppose.

I'm disappointed that Sky One didn't get Heroes. Sci-Fi UK is pretty dire, I think the last time I watched it regularly was during the first run of Firefly.

I would HOPE BBC2 aren't too far behind Sci-Fi in showing it, but they might have to wait until Sci-FI have shown the whole season.

It's a real shame because Heroes really is a fantastic show that deserves a primetime slot on a 'Big' channel.

Ok, now it's started in the UK does anyone have any comments? My fave so far is Hiro, obviously. Laughed out loud at his sheer enthusiasm. Quite liked Nikki with the split personality too. Now that would be a handy superpower to have someone to do your dirty work!

Also please tell me what I've seen the cheerleader's father in before.

I watched the first two episodes a couple of months back and I posted a few comments in the discussion thread for the first ep. I was going to blast through season one, but decided to hold off when I found out it was starting on the BBC. This is definitely my kind of show. :zelenka25:

Also please tell me what I've seen the cheerleader's father in before.I was thinking the same thing about cheerleader's father. Your guess is better than mine! I've no idea who he is, but his face is very familiar.

So any word if you Brits are getting the second season when we do. I really don't get why there is such a divide between here (in the States) and there. Itís not like it is put on a boat and shipped to you.

Veiwing figures for "Heroes" BBC2 premiere!

Digital Spy (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/broadcasting/a67952/strong-start-for-heroes-on-bbc-two.html)

Yeh BBC missed out on the first UK rights for season 1 of "Hereos", but they got the first Terrestrial rights.

For the 2nd season BBC got the first UK rights though, shelling out nearly £10million for it so thats around $20million.

But hopefully the start it got can carry on, because there'll be 30 episodes for the second season!

Hooked within the 1st 10 mins. Love Hiro too, especialy the eyes squeezed shut. Nikki is scary, well she isn't, her 'shadow' is. All the others seem to be connected - haven't sussed hers yet - I have thoughts, but as i don't know if this is for open discussion, or how to use spoilers, I'll leave that one for now.

Jack Coleman plays the Dr Bennet - the only roles I recognise on the IMDb are for Becker & Nip & Tuck, but the list is long - check it out.

Can't wait for the next ep - surprised it's on BBC2 though.:)
