Summer Glau Gleanings
Summer Glau was billed to appear in Supernatural episode "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things" (Oct.19) as a murdered college student who has come back from the dead seeking revenge on those who mistreated her while she was alive.
The ABC Family Channel will premiere The Initiation of Sarah this Sunday (Oct.22) at 8/7c: "A story about rival sororities in which the young women and their house mothers are witches, of the real, spell-casting variety. Newly arrived sisters, Lindsey (Summer Glau) and Sarah (Mika Boorem), get caught up in a tug of war between the supernaturally powerful women of Alpha Nu Gamma and Pi Epsilon Delta."
New York Daily says, "The young women are surprisingly good in this -- especially Glau, who played River the mystery cargo in both TV's Firefly and the movie Serenity. When she undergoes a magical makeover, she's not only bewitched, but bewitching."
Summer is en route to New Zealand for Armageddon Pulp Culture Expo in Auckland, for Oct 22-23, and then on to Australia for Supanova Pop Culture Expo in Sydney where she'll introduce a screening of Serenity and field fan questions on October 28.
