    Synopsis:
    Prepare for an unforgettable journey through space when the ninth season of
    the #1 syndicated first-run drama, Stargate SG-1 lands on DVD October 3 from
    MGM Home Entertainment. Available for the suggested retail price of $49.98, the
    Stargate SG-1 Season 9 DVD set features all 20 episodes on five discs. As with
    Seasons 1-8, the show's talent has fully supported the production of the
    Season Nine DVD release with each disc featuring audio commentaries for each
    episode by the directors, cast or crew, special "SG-1 Director Series" featurettes,
    "SG-1 Beyond the Gates" featurettes spotlighting cast members and
    behind-the-scenes sneak peeks and a wealth of production design and photo galleries.

    As the only television show in production that has received the United States
    Air Force Seal of Approval, Stargate SG-1 is the longest consecutive running
    science fiction drama in television history, celebrating its 10th Anniversary
    this year. The series stars an outstanding cast featuring Richard Dean
    Anderson, the 1999 Saturn Award® winner for Best Actor in a TV Sci-Fi series, along
    with Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Don S. Davis and Michael Shanks. In
    Season Nine two-time Golden Globe® and three-time Emmy Award® winning actor Beau
    Bridges as Major General Hank Landry and Ben Browder ("Farscape") as Lt.
    Colonel Cameron Mitchell joined the crew of the immensely popular show. With a
    weekly viewership of over six million, the series has won several awards,
    including six Leo® Awards, two Saturn® Awards, two Cable Aces® and several Emmy®

    - Episode 1: "Avalon, Part 1"
    Lt Colonel Cameron Mitchell (Ben Browder), the newest member of the SG-1
    team, sets out on a mission with Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks), Teal'c
    (Christopher Judge) and Vala (Claudia Black) to uncover a stash of ancient riches.

    - Episode 2: "Avalon, Part 2"
    Still bound to one another by the Jaffa bracelets, Daniel Jackson (Michael

    by worshippers of a strange and potentially threatening authority.

    - Episode 3: "Origin"
    Daniel (Michael Shanks) and Vala (Claudia Black) learn that their
    reactivation of an Ancient communications device has inadvertently exposed Earth to the
    wrath of a group of unforgiving deities.

    - Episode 4: "The Ties That Bind"
    Daniel (Michael Shanks) and Vala (Claudia Black) embark on a series of
    missions in their quest to unlock the Ancient device that seems to have bound them
    together for eternity.

    Volume Two

    - Episode 6: "Beachhead"
    Samantha Carter (Amanda Tapping) returns to SG-1 to join the team on a
    mission to free a distant planet from the Ori's control.

    - Episode 7: "Ex Deus Machina"
    The team intervenes when an ongoing conflict between Gerak (Louis Gossett,
    Jr.) and Ba'al (Cliff Simon) puts the United States at risk.

    - Episode 8: "Babylon"
    The team desperately tries to locate Lt. Col. Mitchell (Ben Browder) after he
    disappears attempting to make contact with a group of legendary Jaffa
    warriors.

    Ancient science lab, but after bringing him back to Stargate Command, they make a

    As Teal'c (Christopher Judge) struggles to dissuade Gerak (Lou Gossett, Jr)
    from joining forces with a powerful foe, Carter (Amanda Tapping) works on a
    technology that may be critical in helping the team defeat their powerful foe.

    - Episode 11: "The Fourth Horseman, Part II"
    As the strength of Gerak's (Lou Gossett, Jr.) forces rise against them, the
    team races to find an antidote for the plague that the Ori have mercilessly
    unleashed.

    - Episode 12: Collateral Damage
    Complications arise when Mitchell (Ben Browder) becomes the victim of a
    powerful new technology that allows individuals to share memories.

    the Ori have been steadily building military forces, and plan to launch a
    crusade against their dissidents in the near future.

    (Michael Shanks) race to locate a device that will obliterate their enemy
