Well, it's all nice and good that they got nominated, but...

When the **** are the academies gonna realize that sci-fi is more than technical stuff?!

There was no doubt that Camelot would be nominated in the 'best visual effects' category. Thouroughly deserved.

That is great. Maybe this going to show MGM and the SciFi Channel how much potential Stargate still has. We hope that Stargate is going to win some of the categories they were nominated for.

Actually, Patrick McKenna (Felger) is also up for a Gemini for his continued work in RED GREEN.

Plus, for those who want to know when it is, it's aired November 4th on Global (Canadian TV).

Well, I'd guess that.... never. After all, there are much better quality shows out there like... Desperate Housewives.

Don't get me wrong - I actually enjoy desperate Housewives. I just don't think it earned its buzz.

The problem is that only Scifi-lite gets a chance, like Lost.
Pinky, are you thinking what I'm thinking?

The only curretn scifi show that has gotten any kind of decent award nods has been BSG because they pushed the hell out of it. As fo rDesperate Housewives, that's a soap, so it doesn't belong in a scifi category, and LOST well, it lost me long ago. Got too easy to guess each episode. The thing is that all the over-hyped shows tend to lose their lustre after a year. At least the SG shows are durable!

Yay SG-1.....but where are the non-technical noms?????

Frustrating.....but I might watch to see if they win. (providing these awards are televised and aren't some pre-show hand-out thing)

In Canadian television, what competition do they have in the SFX categories? They must surely be the frontrunner.
