Alright, when they blew up the wraith Hive and opened the supergate, that was pure luck, what was also pure luck and what I remember Carter saying is that the Gate should had blown up.
Now Morgan Lefay, pretended to be a hologram inorder to convince Daniel he found the location of the weapon on his own. Isnt it at all possible that the Ancients atleast sheilded the Gate from destruction from the Wraith Hive? Or maybe the Ancients are the ones that connected the gate. Perhaps, they bent the rules enough to make it seem like we oculd of done it.
Personally I dont understand their rules... Its a time of War, Rules get thrown out the window during war.
