With Fox taking over releasing the box sets it may be delayed by a month or so. Hoping for before xmas. Anyone heard more the Atlantis Season 1 Blu-Ray release? Has it been canceled? It was announced at the first of the year and haven't heard anymore about it.Comment

Personally from what I've heard about blu-ray, bad quality, outrages price I'll stick to the HD-DVD format. Season 8 and 1 of SGA were formatted in HD and the re-release of SG-1 dvds are also in HD. As to the release date, havent a clue.Originally posted by LateFan

Remember Blu-Ray is also a high definition format so the picture quality will be pretty much identical whether its on HD-DVD or Blu-Ray.Originally posted by Mitchell82

Where did you read about this date for the R1 release? because none of the top R1 dvd retailers even have it up for pre-order yet and if it was only afew weeks away they would infact already have stock.Comment

That is correct,I mean it doesnt make sense that they can just change certain qualities.
It is either recorded in quality or it isn't,but I doubt that can actually be changed either way.
Sky one in the UK have gone to HD nwo days,and are trying their best to inforce people to go HD rather then our normal picture/sound quality.
Which means it will cost more for us to keep HD sky,which is unfair.A well respected member of:
