Uploading Avatars

Hi, I was just wondering if its possible to upload your own avatars or do you have to stick to the ones that gateworld has, thanks.

you can have your own avatars after you hit a higher post level. I believe it is a priviledge you earn at about 2000 posts

If I have read right,it has to be "1800" posts for you to get your own personalised avatar.

Wha? 2100? I'm sure it was 2000 +1 to unlock the custom av feature. Ah well, I'll maybe get one next year.

I only know what I read in the "Ask the Mods" Thread.

Well I got to agree,I have hardly noticed how quick my posts have increased.
I havent even taken a human host yet,still incubating.

LOL! I think the limit goes up 100 every time I post. Na, I'm not that bothered really. I'll get there, eventually.

It’s still 2000 for a custom av (for now). I just hit 2000 a couple of days ago.

Does this include the posts done on the off-topic chatters or does it have to stick to the main ones in order to count?

Off-topic posts don't count.

Which is unfortunate because I'd probably be over 4,000 by now!
