Another good resource is the Encyclopedia Mythica, which includes sections for everywhere. There are very few (if any) SG-mentioned gods who don't appear on that site somewhere. Fun reading. And also gives ya some ideas on possibilities of OTHER gods.

I still want SG-1 to encounter Ma'at.

Accutally, I love Mythology. I think that's one reason I watched to SG movie. I can recall quite a bit of Myths just from memory of 6th grade.

A good game to play is Age of Mythology. You can chose to worship gods like Zeus, Posideon, Hades, Ra, Isis, Set, Odin, Thor and Loki. Yay! Oh, and www.godchecker.com is a wonderful source, but is rated PG-13. But that's me talking. Have fun!!

Why is the top Norse gods Loki? Heh. They're right about him being a trickster very early on, but later on he became more malicious. :/ My favorite gods are Odin and Thor (obviously,) Tyr, Freyr and Heimdall. <33

Gotta love Loki and Thor, they're my favorite Norse gods. Bast and Anubis are my favorite Egyptian once, and I could never choose my favorite Greek god. I haven't looked too much into others, but I'm doing it. ^.^ I love mythology!!

Ironic though that the gods of Egypt were described wrong. In fact, it was Apep, not Sokar, that was similar to the devil. The writers perhaps weren't thinking too far ahead (weren't thinking about Jolinar's memories) when they introduced Apophis. Anubis was actually I believe the gatekeeper, the one who would weigh your heart and either let you pass to the afterlife or send you to hell.
