"Michael Shanks is going to have a couple of good episodes of his own, and I guess the big thing that Daniel is going to do is to have a bit of a show-down with Anubis towards the end of the season," Cooper told Cult Times magazine. The half-ascended Goa'uld was presumed defeated in the Season Seven finale, then frozen in the body of a Russian officer on another planet in the recent episode "Lockdown."
So Daniel is going to have some sort of showdown with Anubis. The only question is will he be ascended or not....
