    Gateworld keeps making Firefox crash

Since this has just started happening (last day or two) I figure it's a real problem and not just a general incompatibility. Problem being ...

I'm typing this from IE right now. I had to dig it out of my program list just for the purpose of posting to say that going to this site in my Firefox browser inevitably causes a crash. It could be a minute or a second later, but with no warning (no loading issues or stalled pages or anything of that sort) the Mozilla Quality Feedback Agent pops up, and I get that familiar window that says 'Firefox has encountered a problem and needs to close'. I have not encountered this continually on any other site. Is there some problem with Gateworld recently? Maybe an incompatibility with the new browser update? I would like to get back to browsing Gateworld without worrying about crashes and the like. Any idea what the problem might be?

Yep, it could be the version of Firefox you're using. I know there was a memory leak in version 1.5 and it was supposed to be fixed in version 1.5.0.1. I'm currently using version 1.0.7 with no problems. Maybe you should roll back to that version.

Haven't been having any problems with Firefox lately. Are you sure it's Gateworld and not one of the ads? In my experience, the ads are far more problematic than the site itself.

Haven't suffered any Firefox instabilities as of yet on Mac. I don't even think they have the latest version out yet for the Mac.

So far no crashes whatsoever. Try updating.

I've definitely encountered problems. And I have the latest version of FireFox. I get this error at least once or twice when I'm on here. And yeah, it's only been the past few days.

Firefox rules the internet ! I got one word for you: update ! It helps What you could also do is use the Internet Explorer tag on Firefox. Makes websites think you are surfing using Internet Explorer as your browser but it still is Firefox. Really usefull for websites that only can be viewed using IE.

Where do I get this? Sounds useful. (I visit a few of those.)

To everyone who says to update - I have it set on automatic update, and I have no idea how to search for updates manually ... I figure, it installs them automatically, less work for me. Would there be updates it doesn't tell me about?
