Well, If you've been wondering if Someone's going to make a Dragonlance Movie, Tracy Hickman has let the Cat out of the bag: It's coming. The offical word comes from the writers themselves. There is a Dragonlance Movie in production. It's an animated movie which Tracy Hickman and Margret Weis are overseeing. What do you think about this?

If it's true, I'm not really that excited.
When I was a kid I really loved the original trilogy, but as I got older their writing got worse and worse. Anything they wrote just seemed to be cardboard character generation and I could hear the dice rolling.
20 years ago I might have been really excited, but if they're actually overseeing the project, I think I'll give it a miss. If TSR/Lizards was just going to license the books to somebody that can write well and make good movies then I think I'd be all over it. Like that it's at least going to be animated. I hate green screen movies.Comment

Animated? I would rather that they had made a live action movie with a LotR feel to it
Still, I will almost certainly see this movie if it get´s made. I read the original trilogy a long time ago and have always felt that it would adapt well to a movie format.Comment

nothing on IMDB...but that means nothing and the Parmount site is less than useless.
she does speciy cartoon though, not animated feature. perhaps it's something they're developing for TV like the old D&D cartoon.Comment
