How come they Didnt USE the Life Creation Machine to Wipe out the WRaith

Why didnt the ancients use their life creating device to destroy the wraith. Not the giant one, but the smaller device that Oneil created. And mount those on their ships, and started wiping out the wraith. I know their is a moral issue of genocide. But they had the power to wipe out the wraith from the galaxy.

And note couldnt they have set the machine to wraith only, and wiped them out the galaxy.

Now, the wraith may not be able to be 'deconstructed' like the reps and the assurians (to whom we now can attribute the creation of that technolgy too).

Maybe they have a moral code against genocide. Maybe thats why they never used the replicators to destroy the wraith.

The problem with that "weapon" being adding as people are now going to go

Its because the Lanteans were a peaceful race of scientists. Even during the height of the Lantean-Wraith War they tried to negotiate for peace and were betrayed.

What makes you think in the Ori episode that it doesnt affect humans as well? If i remember the spoilers correctly, the entire human crew of the ship were also wiped out by the wave. I mean if they did build a weapon and it fell into Wraith hands it would be too dangerous, the Wraith would gain more powerful technology that was too deadly.

As its been said, its possible that the weapon would be unable to differ from human and Wraith due to similarities in biology.

well remember the life detection devices they can tell the diffrence between wraith and humans. They could have built a device only to destroy wraith. The only reason I could think of is the moral reason. Like in war we could have destroyed the viet cong with nukes. But we dont for moral reasons.
