Can Puddlejumpers fly through shields?

In the 'rising part one' we saw a puddlejumper puch through the atlantis city shield from the outside. Are puddlejumpers equipped with the same shield penetrating technology as drones or is it just an ability of the atlantis city shield to alow friendly objects in?
