Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds

Has anybody else heard of this? Let me sumarize the concept behind it for those of you haven't heard of it. Imagine the classic H.G. Wells novel with Richard Burton reading dramatic passages, some of the best singers in Britian circa 1977, and late 1970's rock music put together and what do you get?

This stuff is amazing! Sure it not the best musical (if you can indeed call it that) ever made, but it is certainly one of the most original. Richard Burton does incredible work as the narrator of the story and the work done by the singers is amazing.

    What do you guys think?

Yep, I've heard of it. In fact, my husband has the LP. Though after many years, it has warped and before that, there were several scratches from playing it so much.

Anyway, for Christmas, he recieved a mint condition LP and the new CD release of it (not the $100+ version, the less expensive version).

It was nice hear it again after so many years.
No snurching any Pictures I post!! (without my permission)
