How about a episode called "The Battle"

What with all the debate regarding the Asguard, Orii & Wrath. Would it be good for SG1 to have a few cheaper episodes and then go for a big "The Battle" episode where the Asguard & Orii just kick each other buts but then to make things worse 5 hive ships arrive. That way we would know who is the strongest of them all, well of the Orii and Asguard.

    Go, go do it.

No, that would be a bad and an inimaginative episde.
And what if the Borgs arrive along with the Scarran and all the villains we know and engage in a battle, "The Battle".
It's like Alien vs. Predator (the movie). Bleahhhh!!!
      School is overrated.

Yeah, there's no reason for hive ships to enter a battle like that, in THIS galaxy, or even in the Asgard or Ori galaxie.
        ROFLMAO Check This Out!!!

how abaout the atlantis team lead the wraith into the Ori galaxy in the hope of finding earth. that would be cool, two super villians in the battle for survival. Would the Ori allow the Wraith to feed on their followers, now that would be an episode worthy of the title
some relationships are worth getting your heart broken over

What would be good is if the Wraith that are trying to go to our Galaxy in the end of season 2 end up coming out of hperspace to confront the wraith ships oh sicko.

"Drooling fanboys of science fiction" describes this forum pretty well. I'm a huge fan of the Stargate franchise and came here looking for some good discussion about the direction the show, what storylines are focused on, and so forth.

Unfortunately, here is what I have found:

                  1) People making softcore porn fantasies about the characters. (This isnt a soap, people. They are never going to make in depth on-screen romances between leads in 'Stargate'.)

                  2) "Technology/Effects Kiddies" These people seem to be obsessed with the fictional technology and fictional weaponry that is used in the show. They also tend to get upset when the fictional technology isn't fully explained or lacks continuity. They often make poorly constructed, poorly spelled threads saying things like "omg tehy ned more sihps and mor batle! mor kewll tehcnolgoly".

                  3) Wild speculation about non-existent storylines. Essentially people pitching terrible, terrible story ideas on the boards. One recent example: "waht if ronon si a RAITH becoz he has teh dreads and is strnog n stuf". While I am not a big fan of "fan fiction", I think people should write some fan fiction instead of making threads about it.

At this point, 'Stargate' should focus on quality over quantity. Good science fiction, and good 'Stargate', doesn't mean a bunch of new technotoys every week, or 90% of the shows taking place onboard some ship, or even a bunch of huge space battles.

That doesn't leave much room for new episode ideas. They trapped themselves a little in season 9 with Earth having a few ships able to do battle and jet around the galaxy quickly. Hopefully the new enemy will destroy the majority of them.
                    Spoiler:
(After the season 9 Camelot episode i think we only have 1 ship left)
Then we can go back to the orginal infiltrate and sabotage against extrodinary odds type of story lines.
An all new Stargate spinoff presents

                    Stargate: The B Team

The galaxy just got a whoooole lot crazier!

Well put, NKD. While I tend to edge on #2, I still have enough control to not turn myself into a drooling mess over the technology.

Still, storylines, storylines, storylines! This cannot be emphasized enough! Not a "OMG let's bring everyone in the 'verse here and shoot at each other until we know who's teh coolest who's with me let's go guys omgimsocool". But something where we learn a little more about each character.

After the battle a giant race of marshmellow beings attack the survivors.
It feels good to be alive.
Cause i've been dead for so long.
