    Outage: This Thursday/Friday

    Hi Guys,

    Please refer to this thread for more details - http://forum.gateworld.net/showthread.php?t=26558

    We will be migrating the Gateworld forums to our new cluster. This will take place between 12pm GMT+0800 and 6pm GMT+0800.

    The forums will be unavailable for a THREE HOUR period during this above timeframe.

    Note that this window of time is 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. GMT, and (... carry the four) between 12 midnight and 6 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.

    It won't be the entire six hours, if all goes according to plan -- just three. You'll be able to find the latest updates at GateWorldAlphaSite.com and its Yahoo! Group.

        UPDATE: Due to issues beyond my control, this did not happen as planned today.

        The move will now happen this Sunday, however, there will be no downtime/outages associated with the move, as it is transparent.

          Most of you should be on the new Database server now.

          I'll keep this thread here, as the WEB will be moving in one months time, to complete the cluster setup.

            the new web server is online, and we will be moving the forums to it over the weekend at some point.
