Well that was a fairly good ep, all things considered.

Glad to see they're actually moving things along a bit.

Loved that Libby is revealed. A great idea. Wonder if they're going write recognition for both of them or if they're going to leave it as a coincidence as they so like to do.

    Dave was great.

Did we know previous to this ep why Hurley was in the hospital? I don't recall the story of the collapsing deck...but don't know if that's because it was never mentioned or if i just forgot.

I loved the scene where Hurley put the beatdown on Sawyer, screaming all the names Sawyer called him, dragging him back under the tarp was just classic. Somebody was watching too many cartoons when that scene was being written.

I'm somewhat disappointed that 'Henry' didn't provide new info about the others, though, but at least he admitted to having been affiliated with them at one time.
    Thanks!

Well Henry once again lied about the real Gale, because he was alive when the balloon got to the island. Then the others - or maybe the sickness - who knows, killed him.
So what is this false Henry Gale hiding?

If i recall correctly from season 1, and i might not be, Hurley originally said he was "volunteering" (or something like that) at the hospital. Like he wasn't crazy, but he went there anyway.

Well there goes my theory that Libby was a porn star (as for how Hurley recognized her)!

Presuming that "Henry" is telling the truth now, we've learned a great deal about the Others. We've learned that Mister Friendly is not their leader, or at least that there is someone higher up that even he must answer to. We've learned that Henry is "not a bad person," which is to say, one of the people the Others "rescued" from a previous wreck or expedition. We've learned also that the Others may know the true nature of the Island - a behavioral experiment run amuck - and that they are resigned to being trapped there without hope of rescue.

Again, this all presumes that Henry is telling the truth.

Also, was Libby then lying about being a clinical psychologist? If so, what reason would she have to lie? I really hope we see a flashback from her soon.

Plenty of possibilities on Libby. Perhaps she 'pulled herself' out of the gutter and went back to school. Perhaps the island 'fixed' her mental problems, and she's now saying she's a psychologist, since it's something she can 'mimic' having all that experience with it. Need to check out the 'other 48 days' again to see if she had a Locke-esque moment, discovering she wasn't dellusional (or whatever was wrong with her) anymore, had a clear mind.

Hurley was revealed to be in the hospital before this episode, it was where he got the numbers to win the lottery.

I thought this was a good episode but surprised that Jack wasn't there distrubuting the food. I mean it probably has to last a while, not a good idea to let people just grab it and horde it. And I wonder why more people didn't question where a pallet of food came from, aren't they wondering why it is there and if someone can drop food, why can't they rescue them?

I'm not sure if anything "Henry" is saying can be taken at face value except for the part where he said he can't die because he isn't a bad person. I don't believe that he didn't input the numbers, I think that he is just messing with Locke. But I hope they are able to bring some sort of answers out of him.

Like the story with Hurley, he's turning out to be one of my favorite characters on the show and we finally get a little back story about Libby.

They seem to be able to sustain themselves on the food they scavenge and find, otherwise they wouldn't have had their 'party' with Hurley handing out all the food.

I missed a section of this episode. How did Hurley get those numbers in the hospital? Was someone else saying them? Where did they come from.

Leonard (crazy guy in the hospital, was playing Connect-4 with Hurley, appeared in a previous episode, and Hurley mentioned seeing him in the hatch in last nights ep, refering to an earlier episode. He didn't speak, he just mumbled them over and over.

Thanks much. I thought I heard someone muttering but I wasn't sure since I wasn't looking at the screen... bad habit I have.

They have so far been able to sustain themselves but when you have a lot of people fighting over a limited amount of resouces, its going to be chaos. I would think that people might be trying to take Sawyer's Dharma Oreo like frosted cookie without wantingto trade or maybe Charlie would have beat up Hurley to get that huge jar of peanut butter to suck up to Claire. And if Jack is going to be a leader of the survivors, he's going to have to a be a leader the whole time, not just when he wants to be. Jack knew about the food, he first priority should have been get the food into the bunker and ration it out.

Well, be fair, most people only acknowledge Jack's authority when they want to. And some not at all. And Jack's kind of got his hands full right now, wrangling a hatch full of crazy people. And a prisoner who might be the sanest one there.

I liked the episode overall. However, did anybody else feel like with Libby being in the hospital, the writers were trying to keep the lid a bit open on that "its all a dream" concept? I really hope we dont see much of it again - because its rather overused on other shows.....

Really though- if I was on the island I'd be getting pretty pissed off about how the people aren't finding out about important things until waaay after they happen (eg capturing Henry)

Other than that I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season- although I hope Locke heals up faster than 2-3 weeks (anywhere from a couple weeks in real time to the next season and a half of LOST) so he can be part of any future trips to the "?" and or other regions on last week's map.

Until we find out what is wrong with Libby, she could be in there for anything.
