Rainmaker Invests in Quantel Pablo
Quantel color grading system meets need for Speed, Flexibility and Colorist-Friendly Environment

Rainmaker, Western Canada’s premiere post-production facility, has purchased a Quantel Pablo color correction system to serve its growing customer base, which includes some of the world’s leading producers of long-form television.
Rainmaker made its original investment in an eQ system in the summer of 2005. Since then, the facility’s busy schedule posting such shows as the Sci-Fi Channel’s Stargate Atlantis, among dozens of other TV series, made an upgrade necessary in order to handle the growing volume of work while maintaining the high quality for which Rainmaker is known.
“The principal reason we put in the eQ with QColor in the first place was to do color correction,” says Rainmaker President Barry Chambers. “That was our main goal. But we needed to increase our capabilities, so as soon as the Pablo came out, adding it was the natural thing to do.”
