It would be even cooler if they had some ships named after famous Norse myths like:
Mjollnir(Thor's mystical hammer)
Borghild(Personification of the evening mist)
Asynjur(Goddesses who belong to the Aesir)
Njord(god of winds, sea and fire)
Sleipnir(The wall that enclosed Asgard)
Ymir(Progenitor of the race of frost giants)
Of course we dont know if the Asgard in SG-1 are gonna show up with ships or show us a planet or peice of tech named with those but you never know.

We would have to be very careful about the names Mjollnir and Ymir as, judging by their historical-descriptions, they could be designations already present in the directors' notes that define the different classes of Asgard warships. If this is the case, Wright and Cooper may be a little upset if we started using those...
The other names sound ok, though."No single army can conquer the galaxy, but faith alone can overturn the universe." -- Imperial Ecclesiarch Decias IX
