The Excaliber is a Ancient Dreadnought, Sorta the same size of a Star Destroyer on Star Wars but with a lot more firepower.

Now being serious it could be a Aurora-class battlecruiser. that could add some firepower.

But another question is: the gou'ald were running around the Mw for thousands of years why didn't they find an ancient ship.

Yup, its my 2nd fav show. It used to be #1 until I started becoming a fan of SG.

BTW... do you think that the Excalibur's design looks Ancient/Alteran in the 3-sail sections in the back, but with a giant Staff-Weapon for it's front.

Actually, I think it'd be really neat if one of Merlin's ancient swords was more than just something to duke it out with his Black Knights, but is something that could counter or penetrate a Prior's forcefield.

I think they have their similarities, but personally i like the Warlock class better than the Excaliber

well the sword is very light as you can see, and was there like a warning that merlin and arthur should head back. it also could penetrate a prior's force field.. but i doubt it... or its just a sword to fight the black night..

I'm hoping it can penetrate Ori shields. Wouldn't it be funny if that was the Anti-Ori weapon and they were wasting their time looking for a necklace?

I doubt TPTB would add something like that to his regular gear. And IMO, I'm still kind of uncertain as to whether I think Excalibur is just a sword or not. It could very well be some form of ship.
