Stopping the Wraith the Captain Picard Way

What if Atlantis found a way to tap into the Wraith Hive Mind and induce all of them to go back into Hibernation at once?

Interesting proposal... How would you accomplish it?

Impossible because they can all operate as individuals, seperate from the Hive collective if they so choose. The Borg could not do this.

Take the Wraith from 'Condemned', he chose to do a deal with the human chancellor to provide him with prisoners for all thst time, which was kept from the other Wraith, the same for 'Allies' where that plan wasn't shared with the rest of the Wraith etc.

You might be able to initiate contact with them via someone like Teyla, then send them a communication of sorts, however since they can work as individuals & also in seperate factions from each other. Then that shows they can turn it off if they so choose or are instructed to be their own Queen.

Or we could jam their telepathic waves and give them terrible migraines, so terrible that would make them good for nothing during those migraines. We could broadcast "special editions" followed by "long sessions of really bad commercials" .
        School is overrated.

I think any attempts to hijack the hive that way would backfire. After all, you're venturing on their turf on which they have the advantage.

I'm all for sending them commercials but I don't know about those infomercials they can be pretty compelling. An endless stream of Aflac commercials and appeals from Sally Struthers to feed the children might just do the trick though. Maybe if they're reminded humans feel hunger too they'll manage to dredge up some sympathy....or not.

Didn't they once takeover Teyla when she went into 'psychic' mode?

I think so. She was trying to connect to the Wraith in the city and she got controlled by the Wraith and started to say stuff like "You people are so patheic" or something like that.

Let's see this thread is called stopping the Wraith the Captain Picard Way.

First, Capt. Picard would invite one of the Wraith commanders or a Queen aboard the Enterprise to hammer out a deal. Then Geordi and Data would invent a alternative life force for the Wraith to feed on. LOL. But, that would be a crossover story and, a converging timeline

I know what your geting at Data implated a command via borafied picard (locutus of borg) that put the drones aboard the cube into a regeneration mode that was going to attack earth during buring the "best of both worlds" two parter and because of that malfunction the cube self distructed saving earth and alowing picard to be freed, the hive mind would need to be ereased for them to go into regneration again

The Wraith don't have a hive mind. They have hive ships!

They are individuals who can communicate telepathically, but they are not a hive mind where one command would affect all of them.
