Seriously, how stupid are people to think that we're actually going to be beaten by the Ori? That wouldn't make for very good television, would it?
Sure, some people, like me, would appreciate the irony of the unhappy ending.
But the vast majority of fans would hate it, rise up, and storm the Bastille that is TPTB's office.
The streets of Vancouver will run red with writer's blood!

I think some of the invasion forces will be hampered but the invasion will happen. Of the MW galaxy not of Earth mind you.—
'Hallowed are the children of the Ori. CROWD: Hallowed are we. Hallowed are the Ori.' -
'Great holy armies shall be gathered and trained to fight all who embrace evil. In the name of the Gods, ships shall be built to carry the warriors out among the stars and we will spread Origin to all the unbelievers. The power of the Ori will be felt far and wide and the wicked shall be vanquished' -

Equality is not a concept. It's not something we should be striving for. It's a necessity. Equality is like gravity. We need it to stand on this earth as men and women. And the misogyny that is in every culture is not a true part of the human condition. It is life out of balance, and that imbalance is sucking something out of the soul of every man and woman who is confronted with it.

The ori winning yeah I am all up for that a unhappy ending for once come on writers. Imagine the up roar on gateworld, they will be talking and moaning about it for years. Also it would make for a good spin off series Stargate: The Rebellion. Or perhaps if the writers are that affraid that they not live that long afterwards that they could produce two different episodes endings, one where we get our butt kick and see earth lay in ruin and other one where, once again succeed and win against all odds, that way they keep all fans happy.
