    Calgary Sun: Stargate Atlantis

    From the Calgary Sun:

    STARGATE ATLANTIS

You have to hand it to the ancient race that seeded all the planets in the galaxy. Not only did they make sure everyone looks like a human, but they also made most of them gorgeous women who wear skimpy outfits.

Such is the lore behind Stargate Atlantis (and for that matter pretty much all science-fiction television), a spinoff of Stargate SG-1 that isn’t quite as bad as most of the syndicated science fiction out there. Not that it’s exactly out of this world, either. The two-hour pilot, which debuted July 19 at 7 p.m. on Movie Central, kicked off with the discovery of a new “stargate” — an artifact that lets you hop around the universe — amid the ruins of the lost city of Atlantis. It’s goofy entertainment that gets a pass for being competently executed.

    Sheeeeeeeesh...

Once again, someone who comments on Atlantis sounding like they haven't even seen it (or at the very least, slept through a great deal of it)...

Does anybody remember, at all when there were ANY gorgeous women wearing skimpy oufits in the two hours of Stargate Atlantis? Honestly, if I missed it the several times I have watched it please feel free to point it out to me.

'kicked off with the discovery of a new “stargate”'

Hmm. the way I read that, it's like we're discovering the only other gate in the galaxy.

          That review made me

They should let scifi fans review scifi. Not everyone (and I have no idea why) can be into scifi...
