I don't understand why the free Jaffa don't share some of the weapons tech. of the Goa'uld motherships they have in their possession. Our ships are firing missiles for Petes' sake!

Well, the shields would never have to go down to 80%, if we had some decent weapons to blow the enemy out of the sky with.

The shields are our best feature, they are the 3rd best shields in the galaxy aboe the orii and the asgard...we cant get much more improved on that front without making atlnatis's shield standard issue.
Weapons are the problem our shields can hold out for as long as they need to, but we cant ever fight back, on earth we can use the outpost and the drone as our offencive but in another solar system accross the galaxy we dont have anything that can give clout to our ships.
the quote against 80% of our shields failing was agianst the most advanced ship weve seen in SG, the grace ship took out the promethius's shields in 4 shots, Asgard shields, the goauld and wraith couldnt do that!

Well, our shields are supposed to be the best shields in the galaxy. The Asgard and Ori dont count cuz they arent from this galaxy. I think the Asgard have been holding some tech back from us and not giving us their full shields (something about they dont trust us or summat but for god sake, how many times have we saved their a$$es).

in 'Off The Grid' our shields took two shots from an Hatak and were down by 11%. Thats like 20 shots and were destroyed

However I do agree with you that our shields wouldnt get damaged as much if we had some half descent weapons. I really think we should steal some from the Lucian Alliance or the FJN and adapt our own weapons from there. This way, we could make them better and have superior firepower to the Hataks

theres alot of options on our plate, we could simply buy a hatak from the lucian allience, fair and square, then either use it or retro engineer and study it.
also our shields are the best the asgard have, we just can power them effectively. In seige 3 with a ZPM the shields didnt even flicker when 2 hives were bombarding them.

OK, I think it is a bad idea buying or trading from the Lucian Alliance as they clearly dont like us, which leaves either asking the FJN which they prob wouldnt do or stealing it from the LA. The second is to find a power source big enough to hold the shields at full strength. Thats gonna be the problem and if we did find a way, the battles wouldnt be as fun cuz we would just kick A$$ and then go to whereever we were going

Buying from the lucian allience isnt as stupid as it sounds. They are traders and although uderhanded they wouldnt pay up the right price and iether would the jaffa...also tealc must own a hatak or two so why cant we jsut borrow one form him...ive said all of this before but heck!

Yeah but could we really trust the Lucian Alliance to give us a perfectly good Hatak without anything wrong. And as for Teal'c owning a few Hataks, they are not given out to whoever wants one, they were only built for the Gou'ald and not the Jaffa that served them. Im sure that if Teal'c owned a few he would give us at least one

erm have you seen forth horseman, he must of had 5/6 hataks made avalble to him in hours. and im sure braytak as the new unoffical FJN leader has got a little fleet. gerak is dead and therefore is fleet is now under the command of the counsil, or most likely tealc. so tealc having a fleet willprobley be a part of those allied ships flexing some muscles.

Yes I have seen it but they belong to the FJN and what im trying to say is that they will not just give us an Hatak even to lend. They feel they need it themselves. Plus we dont actually need an Hatak to keep, we just need to reverse engineer/ make some of our own energy weapons to add to our Deady and Oddyssey and we will be fine with the exception that we need power for our shields of course

exactly so tealc can lend us one of his, in the knowledge that hes on earth and can use for mission and stuff whenever he needs it while the area 51 guys study the weapon up close.
