Now before everyone poo poos on this idea, hear me out. They rig small amounts of naqudria inside the casings of our bullets. When they hit the target they make big boom booms. Fun way to destroy Wraith or Ori for that matter. Now I know the bullet would probably explode in the gun and kill the person holding it, but just imagine. Naquadria bullets. Sweet.

Sorry... but it's a bad idea. Naquadria may be unstable, but it isn't explosive. It would take more than a high velocity impact such as a gun might provide to cause a reaction. Much, much more. It's only use in said regard, is that it is a very heavy metal. However, it is far too valuable for other reasons for such petty usage. If you want to use heavy metal rounds, depleted uranium or such would be better.

Or Naquadah rounds, if we could find enough of the stuff to turn them into something as frivolous as bullets. Which isn't likely.

I'm sure that we can find something much more expendable that we can make explode than Naquadria.

I'm gonna "poo poo" on this idea as well, sure, it would be cool, but as well as naquada/naquadria you need something to start the reaction that would make it explode inside every single bullet. This would be cost effective, wasteful etc, but naquadria grenades however, now that would be cool AND it would serve it's purpose well enough without being expensive or too time consuming to produce

as much as ive warmed to your ship ideas naquadria bullets dont work in any way, logistically, ballistally or logically im affraid. trinium tipped bullet would do well...or naquadria rail gun shells could work but for ordinary bullets id prefer the usual, actually if im picking ill go for a sodan staff weapon for the wraith..or ronans pistol but yeah naquadria bullets wouldnt work sorry.

here's a thought, we use uranium bullets and using alien tech we make it so the bullet cannot be seen comming out of the barrel. Now using energy weapons may be more efficient, but you wouldn't be able to track where these bullets came from. Tactical advantage, or what? The uranium is so we can believe our weapons can take down fighters from the ground.

well, I know it'd have to be in conjunction with a gas break (silencer) system in order to mask the sound to but wouldn't a silencer also decrease muzzle flash? It'd mostly be usefull at night methinks.

Or maybe phosphorous? Even if they heal over it it'll burn down to the bone, it might even prevent it from healing.
