    F-302's with shields #Grace under pressure spoilers#

If a puddle jumper cloak can be made into a limited shield for a jumper could they be used to make a shield for each 302? The room taken up by batteries and the cloak mechanism is easily made up for by the ability to absorb a couple shots.....

And they must be green shields... like independance day....

Why take the cloak and power generator off of a jumper, a vastly superior craft, and put it in X-302, an Earth-made vessal that fires lousy missiles that can't even fly without wings?

I mean, that's like chopping up a Davidson to soup up a scooter. You might as well take Carter's head and attach it to Thor.

Because ID4 was (supposed to be) the sequel to Stargate.

Was that (suppose to be) funny? If shields were to have colouring of any kind upon impact it is probably caused by the energy fluctuation resulting in photon discharge. In that case the light should coloured differently depending on the frequency of the dischage and should be different everytime as I doubt each impact generates the discharge of the exact frequency.

It's supposed to be general knowledge. Wasn't this on the commentary for the film? And it wasnt gonna be Ra. He died.

A f-302 should have a cloak instead of a shield. You can't kill what you don't see

Sure you can kill what you can see. Just saturate the area the enemy is in with enough firepower.
Seeing makes it only easier to hit. Nothing else.

That's the number one biggest mistake in all military tactics in films. Modern combat are engaged outside visual range. Close quarter fights only happens with infantry in urban areas. Even then they'll probably use various tactics to get the enemies out in the open instead of "look and shoot".

And whether or not it was on the DVD commentary (which by the way, SG1 or ID4 DVD?), it's no portrayed nor established in the movie so it's not canon at all. It is complete false and pure speculation... False speculation. ID4 ships look nothing like Goa'uld design, ID4 aliens look nothing like those seen in the movie or in the show.
