    The Rules for Joe's Thread

Here is a handy place to NICELY point newbies when they don't quite get the rules of Joe's thread. And maybe if they're here we won't have to clutter up Joe's thread with constantly repeating these rules to all the new folks that are joining us on a daily basis.

    a) One question per post per day per person. No exceptions. If you happen to see a post in Joe's thread that has multiple questions, please let us know.

    b) Questions only. The Joe thread is not the place to remark on a plot twist, tell Joe about your day, pitch a story idea. It is only to ask him questions, questions that he will answer as his time permits.

    c) Only Joe can answer questions in his thread. If someone asks something and you know the answer, don't post it in Joe's thread. We'll just delete it. My suggestion is that you PM the poster and answer the question that way. This has two benefits, first of all it keeps the clutter down, second of all you just might make a friend.

    d) RESPECT THE CAST AND CREW. You don't have to like or agree with what's being done on the show, but you do have to respect those that are making it.

We're not doing this to be mean or to censor. We're doing this because Joe comes here on his free time and answers questions. To try to allow as many questions as possible to be answered, we put into place the one question per post per person per day rule.

If Joe happens not to answer your question, you may re-ask it. However i would suggest that there is probably a very good reason he didn't answer it. Mayby he can't. Maybe he doesn't know. Maybe he didn't see it. Maybe the answer is a topic that he can't broach. If he ignores your question, don't take it personally.

Let me guess, you can't ask an extra, same subject, question. (example: Is RDA going to come back for the 200th episode? If not, any episodes for season 10?)

That is one of those grey areas. In many cases, especially if the whole post is nothing but that question then folks probably won't mind it. If it's two questions stuck at the end of a 2 paragraph set up, they might.

The modding of the posts in Joe's thread is solely up to the discretion of the moderator at the time.

So theoretically we could ask 365 questions a year

*ponders* - 13001 members * 365 questions = 4,745,365 questions - lets just say I wouldnt want to be in his position ...then again being an Exec on SG.......

and that is why it's one question per post per person per day

Are you ever gonna compile all of his answers and put them up somewhere on the website?

                  It was a joke

How did you come up with 6501?

I divided 13,001 by 2 and came up with 6,500.5, and I rounded it up to the nearest whole #.

on members profile who say they haven't been to the forum since (say) October 2005 or longer.
