I absolutely had no idea that III generated that much $$ - well, I think it was well deserved - it was my favorite SW of the 3.

                      *Spits*

That piece of s--t makes $380 Million, while quality Sci-Fi like 'Serenity' (easily the best SF Film of the year) struggles to make $38 Million. This is just testament to the fact that the movie-going public are a bunch of brain-dead morons who prefer brandnames over quality.

Cuttin' on his own face, rapin' and murdering - Hell, I'll kill a man in a fair fight... or if I think he's gonna start a fair fight, or if he bothers me, or if there's a woman, or if I'm gettin' paid - mostly only when I'm gettin' paid. But these Reavers... last ten years they show up like the bogeyman from stories. Eating people alive? Where's that get fun?
Kaylee - Shepherd Book said they was men who just reached the edge of space, saw a vasty nothingness, and went bibbledy over it.
Jayne - Oh, hell, i've been to the edge. Just looked like... more space.

Hate to break it to you Mefusta, but that piece of s--t is part of one of the greatest stories in history.

Not to mention it was an awesome movie.

It was the most anticipated since the prequels were even announced. It was going to make a buttload of money no matter what.

Indeed, but I think we can all agree that, while it may have been highly anticipated, it was an amazingly sub-par movie. Had it not held the 'Star Wars' brand name, I truly doubt it would have been able to break even, it was just that bad.

Notice that i'm not making reference to the franchise itself, just the low quality of this (and two previous) films of this particular franchise.

Looking at the other films this year, it doesn't really surprise me that Episode III won. Next year is supposed to have some really good films, Casino Royale, X-3, Superman Returns, and more. I can't wait
