Anybody have an image of it? Like big enough or close enough to use as a backround? Thanks

Does anyone think the Atlantis Stargate looks more 'expensive,' as if it were more ornate and intricate?

I think the sets look more 'advanced' and the city is more massive than the SGC, which i think is why Atlantis is more expensive, but yah, haha i agree it does. But it is the 'series' premiere :)

The gate it those pics is in a different position then the one in the premiere... if we compare them we should be able to figure out the symbols under the floor of atlantis.

I would hope that a civilization such as the ancients could build a cooler looking stargate than the Gou'ld. And that they could build a cooler control room/gate room than the USA.

The Goa'uld didn't build the gates... the Ancients built both.

Well, the Goa'uld did not originally build the gates but have produced more in for their own purposes. It seems to me that they built some of their own ring transporters and other crystal technology devices.

the atlantis gate is weird. I havent quite figured out how it works yet. The original one was like a pad lock, but the new one is random!

I don't think the Goa'uld built any gates at all. The only race we have see besides the Ancients with the a homemade gate was the Tollen.

The new gate dials so fast it is hard to remember any of the symbols or make out a pattern.

It isn't random.

The symbol starts at the top chevron, then spins around. The way it spins is opposite the way the previous glyph spun. When it reaches it's chevron, it locks into place.

All symbols for the galaxy light up once a wormhole is engaged.

I like this new gate better. The SG1/Movie gate gets old after a while, unless they show it in real HQ mode.

Would it help it someone shouted "Chevron 1 encoded..."
Oh wait, McKay tried that:p

Haha... that was quite the tip of a hat. That was a funny moment, it was kind of like McKay idolized Chevron Guy or something... has McKay been in any previous episodes? I don't remember offhand.
